12/04/2003 - 1:14 p.m. Last night you should have seen me. Last night I was wearing makeup and my best "Shoot me - I'm going to meet old people who gave me money" outfit. Well, it wasn't that bad. It was, in fact, the fanciest reception I had ever been formally invited to. Other than the castles I've visited, it was the fanciest place I've ever been to. The food was good, too. They even had sea food and vegetarian selections for those wonderful people such as myself. They even had fancy garbage trays. And the coffee was served with whipped cream and a sprinkling of either cinnamon or chocolate, depending on your preference. It was a relief when I no longer had to be there. But you know something? What I noticed, and I don't know how many people would pay attention to this, is that all of the students who showed up, in other words all of the scholarship recipients, were good looking. Even when they showed a video, it was either good looking students, or disabled. I felt out of place. Anyways, that's over with, and next year (oh I ever so much hope) I get more money. Thank you rich old people, thank you for giving me money. ** ** So, today I'm sitting here at this very computer, and a lady walks up to me. I have never seen her before, and due to the fact that she was wearing large pink glasses that covered most of her face couldn't tell you what she looked like. Blond, maybe graying. She starts talking to me about a Professor here, noting that "He is from Poland, too." At first I wondered, then I thought that she might have seen my ID. Then I realized that I am sitting at the furthest corner of the lab. There is a row of computers in front and behind me. It's the place you'd sit if you didn't want anyone seeing you in here. All the computers next to me are taken, and there is no reason she would have just been up here. There is no way she could have seen my ID if she wasn't. She walked into the lab, came right up to me, and started talking. As soon as she was done, she left. Now I want to know, who is she and how she knew me. ** ** I'm hungry. Room mate - 10/27/2005
