Wednesday, November 12, 2003 10:17 a.m. NOTICE TO: THE CITIES OF ASHTABULA, LORAIN, PAINESVILLE, JEFFERSON, ELYRIA, CLEVELAND AND CHARDON, OHIO; AND THE CITIES OF ALBION, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, EDINBORO, ERIE, MEADVILLE, NORTH EAST AND UNION CITY, PENNSYLVANIA High wind watch in effect from late tonight to Thursday afternoon. Strong winds are expected to develop after midnight tonight & there is a possibility that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph could affect the region. Some gusts to 55 mph are also possible tonight and Thursday. The wind is expected to diminish Thursday night as the storm system moves well east of the area. If you encounter a downed power line, stay clear and call the local authorities. Avoid serious injury by staying clear of large trees during high wind situations. Large limbs or the entire tree may fall to the ground. Prepare ahead of time & make sure loose objects are secure to prevent them from being blown around. Do not go near the Lake Erie shore line and breakwalls to avoid being swept into rough water by large waves. Be sure to stay tuned to NOAA weather radio or your favorite weather source for the latest on this developing storm situation ** ** On my way to the UC the snow was falling horizontally. One of the residence halls is completely out of power. And that, my friends, is a "high wind alert" Room mate - 10/27/2005 Worst ever - 07/21/2005 Goth - 05/29/2005 Bad Baby - 05/25/2005 - - 02/08/2005
