The Cat
Thought of day

10/23/2003 - 1:46 p.m.

So, last night, it is getting around 11:30 or so, and my room mate is complaining about wanting to go to sleep. (I know, I know, I promised not to mention her, but this really isn't about her at all.) So, I get off the computer, get into my bed, and am waiting for her to turn off the light. Instead of doing that, she sits at the computer.

An hour later, she is still on.

About 20 minutes before 1:00am she appoligizes for keeping me up and goes to bed.

Several hours later, after a more or less sleepless night, I finally fall asleep and have the strangest dream since I moved here.

I am standing outside, near the little hill by Shafer Hall, and there are the ROTC guys training for something or else. They are all dressed up in their Army clothes (the colorful ones), except the guy who is in charge is wearing black. They have to do some dance step, and there is only one of them that is doing even a halfway decent job. He is the one wearing one white sock and yellow slippers. The dance move is something or else involving stepping forward with the left foot, then back, then forward again, then stepping to the side.

Moral? Sleepless nights, DDR, and ROTC do not mix.

And that is my thought of the day.
