08/19/2003 - 2:58 p.m. I'm back!!! Let us all now rejoice!! Because, you know, I am back!!! And it wasn't easy, you know, they almost had us stay forever in Atlanta. They would have, too, if the Clevelandian power had not come back on. And even so, we had to stay in Atlanta for two days, and it was quite an experience. See, the first day, it was just past 7:00 in the evening, and we (or at least I) were oh so tired that another hour or two of standing would have made me collapse. And that's without exaggerating, even if I can not spell the word. Anyways, so we go to the Hotel whence they sent us, and guess what we find! Yes, that is right! A gathering of Army people! Is that awsome or what? I was so tempted to just sit back (in the lobby) and observe them in their natural habitat, but there were a few things preventing me. For starters, all the chairs (in the lobby) were taken by the self same army people, (the jerks! couldn't even leave one place for me, and I was so tired....) and then there was the whole bit about me being near the point of collapse, and, of course, it did not help any that hotel lobbies are not army people's natural habitats. Ah well. (aaah! "what is this scream" you are now surely asking. well, as I was punching the dough for the pizza that I am making, I managed to hit my knuckle against the rim of the metal thing that the dough is in. oh the pain, oh the miseeeeryyy. but now back to my Atlantian tale) Anyways, so we got our room and went to sleep and woke up and waited for the shuttle to the airport at the wrong side of the building and then the army people came out and went to the right side of the building, (this, coupled with the fact that a person working at the hotel told us that we were at the wrong side of the building, gave us a clue as to why the shuttle was not coming) and so we followed and found ourselves waiting along with all the continuously mentioned army persons. (my sister was so cute about this the next day, she asked me "what time did those army guys wake up," so I answered sometimes after us, between 6:00 and 6:30, and she just looked me confused and said "but I always thought army people are supposed to wake up at, like, 5:00." aww) Anyways, so they were waiting with us, but then here comes the interesting part: when the shuttle came, a few of them started going toward it, and then, I suppose because they noticed that it was full-there really were no more places to sit in it, and a few people were standing-they paired up and started walking. Now, the airport was at least a good two miles from the hotel, and the shuttles arive every fifteen minutes, and they were indeed going to the airport for later in the day I saw one there (and yes, it was one of the ones from the hotel) so I am still confused as to why they decided they had to walk for just under an hour when they could have just as easily waited fifteen minutes and been there ten minutes after that. Anyways, when we got to the airport our flight was once again cancelled so we learned we had to wait for one more day. So, we were at the airport until about 2:00 in the afternoon, which is when we made our way to the hotel, where we stayed until 6:00 the next morning. Oh, and the cool thing about the hotel is that I guess it was once a motel because it had those balcony walkways, but it had been upgraded to a hotel sometime or other. That was exciting. And then we came back to Cleveland. Yay. And I am leaving Sunday. Aww. Oh, and in case you are wondering, my schedule is as follows: Environmental Issues - MWF 10:00-10:50 Room mate - 10/27/2005
